[Blog Tour] Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake

Guest Post from Kendare Blake

What do you do when you’re not writing?  Can you give us a typical day?

A typical day? How boring do you want this? Because I can do boring, on a typical day. Here goes. I wake up, eat something, usually not cereal because sweet doesn’t do it for me early on. Cereal is more like a snack food to me. Sometimes you get on that cereal kick, too, where you eat like four bowls in a day.

Anyway, after that I get myself together, maybe do a little working out first, keep the writing-desk butt at bay, do any cleaning around the place that needs cleaning, subject myself to a couple of minutes of lap-cat, because he hasn’t had enough time with me after sleeping on me all night long and slowly driving me into a pretzel ball in the corner of the bed.

The husband is usually up by this point and we may go do something arty, or wildlife-y, like the zoo, or a hike, or the aquarium. Maybe hit an outdoor market. If it’s Tuesday, there are cheap movie tickets at a theater that serves bitchin’ potato skins and beer. But if we don’t do any of that stuff, we may video game our lives away. Right now we’re mindlessly hacking our way through Devil May Cry 4. It was only seven bucks at GameStop.

Somewhere in there is food, anything fried or cheesy is good. Nitrates are good. When we want to go healthy, we’ll eat Pho. In the evenings if we’re home we’ll usually barrel our way through whatever we’ve got on the DVR. Fringe. Boxing. Wilfred. Chopped. Midnight or so, the day is over.

And that’s a somewhat typical day off. Sex and the City it’s not, but I like it.

Contest

Who is about to take on Anna next?  In the first week, we met the ghost hunters.  In the second week, we saw their replies.  This week, we find out who actually makes it to Anna's door!

Each day this week, a final clue will be given for each of the three ghost hunters who accepted Anna's challenge to come to Thunder Bay.  Follow the tour for the rest of this week to find out who among the five is the one who will enter Anna's house on the last day of the tour!  A list of all the tour dates, including the first week's dates where the ghost hunters were introduced, click here.

On the last day of the tour, a link will be provided where you can enter the ghost hunter's name for 15 entries into the contest to win a Anna Dressed In Blood skinned and loaded Kindle 3!  Open US/Canada.

For an extra points in the meantime, you can gain +1 point a day by tweeting the following:

About Anna Dressed In Blood - Goodreads, Amazon, B&N, Indie Bound

Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story…

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought tokill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels thecountry with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together theyfollow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping

pesky things like the future and friends at bay. When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressedin Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’snever faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutalmurder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since herdeath, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the

deserted Victorian she used to call home.

And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.

  1. It's Anna's one-month birthday tomorrow! So cool. I wonder what her food of choice is, especially considering she's not exactly alive :P

My day can be pretty boring too just because it's routine. I just got a new stepper so I'm having a lot fun using it plus working out.

  2. My husband I do the Tuesday discount movie thing too. And Yay for Wilfred - I don't know too many people who watch that show.
I'm dying to read Anna Dressed in Blood.
