Vampire Nick Christos might have been born in the Middle Ages, but those days seem tame compared to the last eight years spent ruling the Supernatural Council. The only respite in his long days of governing is with his sweet neighbor Casey Meyers. Sure, he’s forced to take a cold shower after every encounter, but no way will he risk anything more with a human. Not with his blood thirsty ex on the prowl and out to ruin Nick’s life.
But when said crazy ex shows up at the ball and flies her freak flag high, Nick has more to worry about than keeping his hands off his neighbor. He’ll have to stay closer than ever if he hopes to keep her alive, but will she want to leave him forever when she learns the truth?
WARNING: This book contains sexual explicit scenes.
Comical, witty and quite sexual, this is how I describe this book.
Casey Meyers is a very charming character. She’s witty, hilarious but quite dumb or rather naïve. But I can’t see the difference. She has been lusting on her friend Nick the moment she laid eyes on this Adonis. Nick on the other hand is charismatic as hell, he’s a bazzillionaire but there’s a catch… he’s a hybrid vampire with some major problems.
What got me into this book is that it’s undeniably HILARIOUS! It got me laughing out loud so hard with Casey’s funny and amusing lines. Despite this book being really sexual (which I’m totally not complaining) this book enticed me with its story line and delightful characters. It has the right mix of characters that I’m sure you’ll learn to love.
I really love how the romance between Casey and Nick was built. Aside from them both lusting with each other, you know from the very start that they have chemistry and that they really like each other. They were best of friends and with that they respect each other. Casey may entertain the idea being with Nick but her insecurities make me want to slap this woman. Even though she’s beautiful she still has insecurities, well given that Nick was totally the dream guy; she seems dumb or just plain naïve about her looks. Nick on the other is manly enough to own protect the girl he likes. The only problem is that he doesn’t know how to break it to her that he’s… a monster, a hybrid vampire to be exact. With threats of the “Chipmunk” and the choosing ceremony, Nick chooses to protect Casey no matter what happens.
Overall this book is totally entertaining! If you don’t read Paranormal Romance I dare say you read this. It has the right mixed of Romance and Paranormal in it, give it a plus with its very entertaining characters. You guys should totally read this book!
“It’s sad when your best friend makes your panties melt.”
“One more reason why I find you so precious−your willingness to protect me from a bastion of evil mamas.”
“Goof. And I hate the word precious. It always makes me think of those Lord of the Rings movies you like so much. Remember, that creepy little guy running around the mountain chasing his precious?”
“The first time she’d seen the actor Chris Hemsworth take off his shirt in Thor, she pretended to faint. He remembered feeling jealous and doing an extra two hundred sit-ups that night.”
I got this book from the publicist in participation of the blog tour it has no way affected my review of the book.
