Synopsis:
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.
I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I've poured my soul into my music, but I've never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.
And now I’m going back.
After ten years.
I hope I can explain that after all this time.
I still want her to be my forever girl.
Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk
Should you follow your dreams and leave the girl you love?
What if the one person who broke your heart returns and realize he's not the
exact same person you know? Forever My Girl is a wonderful story of a
rekindling love and heart breaks, I really love this book!
I don't know what's with the books I've been reading lately
but they seemed... Cliché in all but it never have stopped me to read them.
Even how many times I've read or watch this kind of story it never fails to
capture a piece of me. I can say that the story of Forever My Girl is a cliché,
to make the long story short -- Guy leaves Girl then Boy returns to find out he
has an illegitimate child, Girl is attached with another Guy then for the
benefit of the child they tried to be friends, attached Guy is pissed then
broke up with the Girl and Guy was there to mend the broken heart... happy
ending! Sounds like something you know of? Not even half of the book I have
already concluded how it will end. It was really predictable that you knew
exactly what would happen next.
I give credit to the wonderful ensemble of characters. Liam
Page is a Rock Star on which for his account is totally bad ass. He sleeps
around with girls he doesn't know, the typical bad boy attitude but then when
he's with Josie he seems like a head over heels puppy in love. He also write
songs and sings well and an all around buddy for his late friend Mason. I
really admire this kind of guy! Josie Preston
was the abandoned girl, (Liam) left her
alone rising Noah. Her character is very confused for -- she doesn't
really know what to do. She's put in a very difficult position, I admire the
courage she showed over her decision about Liam and Noah.
With a story so cliché that it became really predictable and
with a wonderful set of characters it wouldn't stop me from recommending you to
read this book. I can tell you that if you read this book you won't be left empty
handed. You'll find yourself admiring the characters along with the story, it
has a different impact to me. I hope you find time to read this wonderful book!

Well, this novel does sound kind of cliche. You know, the normal too-predictable story. But sometimes, I do love these kind of stories. Such an escape from reality. I am adding this to my TBR
