When Val Jensen gets dumped for her decision to stay a virgin until marriage, the nasty breakup goes viral on YouTube, making her the latest internet sensation.

After days of ridicule from her peers, Val starts a school-wide campaign to rally support for her cause. She meant to make a statement, but she never dreamed the entire nation would get caught up in the controversy.

As if becoming nationally recognized as “Virgin Val” isn’t enough, Val’s already hectic life starts to spin wildly out of control when bad boy Kyle Hamilton, lead singer for the hit rock band Tralse, decides to take her abstinence as a personal challenge.

How can a girl stay true to herself when this year’s Sexiest Man Alive is doing everything in his power to win her over?

V is for Virgin is one of those books that has a 'cause' in it. I really admire how the author put up a story about Virginity and the 'cause' it may influence readers. It's a one of a kind book! I dare you not to miss it!

This book has thought me to have courage, it's all about standing for what you think is right. Who wouldn't love a story with a great character, someone who you could look up to. Valerie is one chick you would totally respect from start to finish. She's reserve yet has the courage to stand for her beliefs. Though it may tackle a sensitive issue - at least for me - which is virginity in which it delivered the message that I think everybody would learn from. While reading this book there has been realizations in my part, I could say that it served its purpose.

Valerie is such a wonderful character, the courage she showed for starting the V is for Virgin movement is such an commendable trait. Kyle Hamilton brings spice in this yet very provocative story, he's one character that's persistent, creative and most definitely sexy. He's one of those character that you hate but will grow into you as the story progresses. I admire his persistence to Valerie, he's straight forward but respects Valerie for what she believes in. I like his playfulness, flirty even! What's not to like about him? Amidst conflicting values by Kyle and Valerie I can't deny the fact that they have the connection. Even if Valerie denies it it's kind of obvious.

I honestly love how the book ends, the author did what's best for the characters. Although I feel that it could have been better and was a cliched ending I was satisfied.

Although I may agree with the movement Valerie has started, I think it may conflict other readers. I can say that we have different take about our 'virginity'. I can say that this book is thought provoking and an eye opener.

Overall this book is a very satisfying read! I've learned a few lessons through this book. Although I'm concerned with how other readers will take the whole situation, I'm sure that readers would appreciate the efforts of the author to spread awareness. With a memorable story and characters, I think you will enjoy this one!

I got this book from the author for review, in participation on the blog tour.
It has no way affected my review of the book.
